Renault Kwid Facelift Price, Launch Date in India, Images ...
By now you must have seen a lot of spy-pics of Renault Kwid floating all around the internet and then in the official teaser. But here I'm going to make you know a lot of things that Renault is offering in the facelift version of Kwid along with its new make-up. Here are also few spy-shots that reveal the new facelifted Kwid's interior and lots more.
The most significant and I would say an identifiable upgrade in the interior is a new massive 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system is I suppose is similar to the recently launched Renault Triber. Furthermore, on closely noticing in the instrument cluster, it is noticeable that it is a partly analog and partly digital instrument cluster.
The Kwid also comes with a new steering wheel and newly designed AC vents and a completely new gear lever for the AMt version. The dash redesign has also eliminated the storage bin above the glove box and the little shelf between the two, which came in handy for storing odds and ends. The Kwid Climber’s black-and-orange interior color scheme still remains unchanged.
Looking on the outside, we get to see a completely new design in the front with spectacularly split-headlights as it is a new trend in the market nowadays. The grill is garnished with chrome and aesthetically looks incredible. The LED DRLs sit on the top of the headlights with the main lights placed below it. Also new are the alloy wheels on the Climber variant, along with LED elements in the tail-lights, all of which come together to inject freshness into the Kwid’s appearance. the Renault Kwid facelift will continue with the same 54hpin 0.8-liter and 68hp in 1.0-liter petrol engines.
At launch, both engines will be BS4-compliant but will be upgraded to meet BS6 norms closer to the April 2020 deadline. Similar to what is at present, a 5-speed manual gearbox will be on offer along with the option of an AMT box.
Renault has planned to launch the new Kwid right after the launch of its biggest rival- Maruti Suzuki S-Presso on 30th September. expect the Renault Kwid facelift to be priced slightly higher than that of the current Kwid, which is priced at Rs 2.76-4.76 lakh (ex-showroom).

As showcased in the debut of Auto Expo 2018 the concept of Future-S to step in the market, Maruti Suzuki has finally revealed the car full ahead of launch. Alike shown in the concept, the car retains its SUV-ish look in all stance despite being second ultra compact SUV in this segment after the rule of Renault Kwid in 2015. Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the new S-Presso hatchback in India on September 30, 2019 and we have got a fair idea of how it will look like, thanks to the recent teaser and some spy pictures which have surfaced online.
S-Presso is based on the concept of Future-S as debuted in the Auto Expo 2018
Maruti Suzuki calls it their Mini SUV and the visage of the truly justifies it. It will be made available in four variants - Standard, LXI, VXI and VXI+, and these are in turn extended into near about 10 trims based on optional specs and transmission options. As far as engine department is concerned, it will get Alto K10's 1-litre engine which hopefully will be BS6 compliant. It’s a 998 cc, three-cylinder petrol engine that churns out 67bhp at 5500 rpm and will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AGS (Auto Gear Shift) or AMT (Automated Manual Transmission Unit) will be optional.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso
Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is based on Heartect platform which also underpins other Maruti cars like Wagon-R, Swift, Dzire Ignis, Baleno and even the Ertiga. Maruti may introduce the 7-inch Smartplay studio touchscreen infotainment system in the higher variants of the S-Presso, similar to the new Wagon-R. The direct rival,of this acr would be Renault's Kwid and even the Hyundai Santro. It will be equipped with safety features like dual airbags, antilock braking system (ABS) + electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) and reverse parking sensors. The S-Presso’s cabin features fabric upholstery and none of the seats offer adjustable headrests. Its dashboard layout is unlike any other Maruti currently on offer with a centrally mounted digital instrument cluster. Being a budget-friendly model, the S-Presso makes do with manually adjustable ORVMs while the controls for the AC and the steering wheel seem to have been borrowed from the WagonR.
Interiors of Maruti Suzuki S-Presso
The Maruti S-Presso will be powered by a BS6 compliant 1.0-litre petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual with a choice of a 5-speed AMT, as pictured above. As per leaked documents, the S-Presso will be available in nine variants with four trim levels. It is expected to be priced between Rs 4 lakhs to Rs 5.5 lakhs.

Tata Harrier is India's one of the most anticipated SUV
which was showcased in Auto Expo 2018 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi as a concept
car H5X. It created a lot of hype among the buyers of all the segments starting
right from the buyers of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford Ecosport and went
till Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner and even the lesser-known Mahindra's car
Mahindra Alturas G4. It is a five-seater car C-segment SUV based on the Omega
Arc platform, a re-engineered platform of Jaguar Land Rover D8
architecture which is also adopted by Range Rover Evoque, Discovery Sport and
Jaguar F-Pace which makes Harrier rugged strong as compared to other SUVs in
this segment.
The Harrier comes with front-wheel-drive train mechanism, a
AWD or 4WD has not been made available yet but could be launched by mid-2020.
The SUV has sourced its heart i.e. the engine from Fiat's 2.0L(1956cc) Multijet
16-valve four-cylinder turbo diesel engine which produces a slightly lower
state of tune of 138bhp and 360Nmof torque which is also used by Jeep Compass
with power production of 170bhp with a higher state of tune. However, this
difference in the power configuration barely makes any difference in the real
world as Harrier comes with three driving modes (eco, city and sports) where
one can drive it as their needs. In the Harrier, Tata Motors uses the
commercial name 'Kryotec' for the engine instead. The transmission is a
6-speed manual. An automatic will be sourced from Hyundai on its 4x4 variant in
future.
Looking into the interior, it comes with a massive 8.8-inch
touchscreen system equipped with Android Auto, an instrument cluster of 7-inch
TFT display which is semi-analog display as the speedometer covers the analog
portion and the tachometer sits under the TFT screen. Top trims of Harrier is
equipped with 6 airbags, ESP, traction control and a terrain response system (inherited
from Land Rover which offers Rough, Wet and Normal modes). However, a
sunroof is a miss. The seats in the top trim come with perforated leather
upholstery with a center and a rear armrest and have a very good under-thigh support.
The steering, however, is hydraulic steering with quite a good sheer of weight
that comes while driving at high speeds and off-course is available with tilt
and telescopic adjustment and all the media controls are mounted within the
steering itself making it quite helpful while driving.
Talking about the exterior, it comes with
17-inch alloy wheels with high profile tires of 235/65 as proportions. The LED
DRL adds elegance to the car in both day and night. The dimensions are
length 4598mm, width 1894mm, height 1706mm and a whopping ground clearance
figures of 205mm which makes it a very bulky machine in this segment and a
worth considering option too. The Kerb weight is 1675kg. Coming to the boot
space it has a 425litres of space and with seats folded becomes more than 800litres
which is one of the biggest in the segment. The capacity of the fuel tank is
50litres. The color variants are Calisto Cooper, Ariel Silver, Thermisto Gold,
Telesto Grey, Orcus White, Altas Black and two dual-tone options available with
Calisto Cooper and Orcus White. The ARAI rated mileage is 16.71kmpl which means
in a normal city drive it would render a 12-13kmpl and 15-16kmpl on highways.
But keeping this assumption aside, when the car has been driven in the real
world with Eco mode on at a speed of 80-90km/hr as rendered a mileage of 21-22kmpl
in some cases(Below are the links given of the videos that claim such). The
price of this car starts from 12.99lakhs to 17.46lakhs ex-showroom price.
Concluding this topic, it can
only be stated that a car in this price range has a lot of rivals like Hyundai
Creta, Mahindra XUV500, MG Hector, Kia Seltos and Jeep Compass and to sustain
in this segment, it should have offered a bit more features like the connected
car, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, sunroof, etc. The verdict that we here
give you is that if you’re looking for an SUV that has great road presence, can
be taken almost anywhere, offers good mileage and comes with a company that
is trusted by all the Indian for years then you should definitely go for Tata
Harrier as it offers you a class above feel and also the driving dynamics are
more superior than others mentioned as its rivals. However, it comes only in Diesel and no automatic is offered as of now, however with the 7-seater version of the car Tata has claimed that an automatic version would be available.

With the introduction of the “Motors
Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019” and with most states acclimating with it and a
few standing by to look into the scenario and likely to enforce shortly after
bringing a few changes to it as prescribed by the rules and regulations therein.
Coming into effect, it has literally become a tedious task for the wrong-doers
of roads to be the king anymore, especially riding bikes without a helmet,
driving cars without seatbelts on, or even jumping red lights are now under the
visage of an obnoxious crime.
The violators to this Act are
gifted with a hefty challan bearing an amount which has been exponentially
raised from the previous penalties. This is a seriously dire situation for the
one who does not have any documents of his vehicle or does not abide by the
traffic rules as to what he can do from now on is either to update or make the
relevant documents or should start using Uber, Ola, etc. Somewhere in Gurugram,
a challan of rupees twenty-three thousand was handed over to a biker who
claimed to the media that the penalty was way much higher than what his bike
actually cost in the real world. Another was a case from Sector 26, Noida, where an
auto-rickshaw driver was handed over a challan bearing an amount of rupees 32
thousand for the jumping red light, outdated license, absence of registration card, etc. Likewise was a case happened with a truck driver where he was thrashed with
challan bearing a whopping amount of rupees six lakhs for not producing the
documents as asked by the traffic officials.
Eyeing all these situations,
it is quite impeccably evident that government has started to bootstrap its
revenue from the wrong-doers of roads which is in a way a shrewd idea to
disseminate the safety on roads but went quite whimsical, indeed for the
public. Few additions of finest thoughts into the law, say restricting the way
of an AMBULANCE can even incite a challan of up to rupees 20000 is the quintessential part of all.
Therefore, evaluating all this
incidences the only bottom line to be drawn is: “Today’s little obedience to
the law may fix your foreign trips absolutely.”
The automobile sector is one
of the highest profit-making sectors in India which has given employment to an
ample sheer of unemployed youth for decades. Looking towards the capitalizing potential
of this sector, here entered numerous foreign automobile companies to have a share
of the pie. But unlike other years for all the major players it has become an
arduous task to carry on operations as this year tends to prove itself an
ominous cult which is disgraced with bane for the players to play.
Tata Nano Producing in Tata Motors factory.
From the inception of this
year, there was a substantial decline and by the end of the last quarter, the
all-time champion Maruti Suzuki’s sales declined up to 41.2%, Honda Motors with
38.7%, and Tata Motors to top the list with a rigorous decline of 52.3% in the
last quarter. Surely is the cause behind this is the recession in the economy but
cannot be the sole reason as a plethora of other reasons is comprehended
alongside. Not only there is a decline in the sales figures of the
four-wheelers, but this has an explicit effect on the sales of two-wheelers,
tractors, and trucks too. The declined sales of two-wheeler indicate that the
economy is passing through a harsh situation where it is creeping to rise but
is not able to as it is generally seen that the sale of two-wheelers always
rises due to the middle-class society is mostly the consumer here, but unfortunately
not this year. The reasons could possibly be a middle-class man opts for a
vehicle only when he foresees a growth or stability in his professional life,
but with jobs cutting short this might be a reason to not to go for. Further, the decline
in the sales of tractor suggests that the country’s rural halves are acutely
suffering as the tractors are mostly purchased by farmers and with its value
going down overtly states that our farmers are uncertain about their production
as most of the places are doubtful about the rain too. Moving to the declined
sales figure of trucks clearly points towards the latest alteration made to the
“Axle Loading Norms” of the trucks where previously it was 16 tonnes per truck,
now has been exuberantly increased by 15 to 20%. This has made the owners to full
their trucks with more payloads than before, allowing them not to go for a new
truck to maintain their revenues. It is also forecasted by the experts that
there is a possible decline in the production of Rabi crops.
Keeping all the grumpy and
grouchy visages of the economy in mind, the kind of travail auto sector is going
through cannot be filled up unless firm action is taken by the government. Reducing
the Repo Rate by the RBI cannot be the sole thing to do. The government should take
more steps with ebullience to revive the sector because if it further dips, the
retaliation would go terribly inevitable as near to 4 lakhs of people has
already lost their job. Surely more will in coming days as companies are
planning to cut down their production as a result of which laying off of the
employees will be imminent. As of now the facade of the current scenario is to
wait until the end of the current financial year 2019-20 and to look forward to seeing
the necessary steps that are to be taken by the government.
Hyundai India's cars are stranded as a slump in the auto sector.
Being an auto enthusiast since childhood, I prefer to pop up a fact relating to cars amidst any conversation... Haha... Literally speaking, I'm not that imbecile anymore. But still when I get a chance to crash a topic on cars, I don't let that sway away..
